Senior Management Accountant - City - up to £78k

Hybrid working, 09:30-17:30

Wise May are looking for a Senior Management Accountant to join our client, a Legal 500 ranked law firm based in the City, this is a great opportunity to join a thriving business and become part of a strong team.

Duties to include:

  • Preparation and submission of monthly management accounts, including all financial accounting and reconciliation processes
  • Monthly reporting of financial results, analysing and communicating variances and providing commentary to support decision making
  • Act as a business partner to cost centres and provide budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc analysis support to stake holders
  • Provide input into the Board report and monthly CFO reporting pack
  • Preparation of forecasts and budgets for the balance sheet, cash flow statement and items below EBITDA on the P&L
  • Key point of contact for the auditors
  • Reporting to HMRC, ONS and other external agencies
  • Work alongside other team members to establish best in class controls, processes and internal reporting
  • Develop fit for purpose financial systems and controls, with a high degree of data integrity
  • Develop and update financial policies and procedures to ensure consistency across the Group

Skills:

  • ACA / ACCA recently qualified accountant
  • Good technical accounting knowledge (IFRS)
  • Experience of financial reporting and group accounting a plus
  • The ability to be innovative and commercial
  • Analytical skill set and ability to identify and communicate underlying financial trends
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.
  • Excellent operating knowledge of Excel
  • Be able to pick things up quickly with a high attention to both detail and accuracy
  • Be comfortable working in a fast paced company and liaising directly with senior management
  • Confidence to set own goals, ambitious and driven to push limits
