About the Role

As a key member of the Institutional Operations team, you will lead a well-managed European Institutional KYC team, ensuring that all new client onboarding is completed in accordance with European AML regulations and ANZ policy. You will play a crucial role in motivating and engaging staff members to achieve industry best practices in customer service and client outcomes during the onboarding and maintenance phases. Additionally, you will represent the Institutional KYC team to European senior management, auditors, and regulators, and regularly engage with Institutional leadership across Operations, Group Capability Centres, and Markets COO functions to ensure that Europe is well-connected within the ANZ network.

What will your day look like?

As a Senior Manager, Institutional Onboarding Europe, you will be responsible for
  • Ensuring end-to-end on-boarding process is followed according to ANZ policy and AML regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain the integrity of work and data generated and report regular communication with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Apply well managed principles to all processes within the function - team and individual performance able to be monitored, reported, and actioned proactively.
  • Provide guidance and support to Group capability Centre (GCC) and address escalations. Ensure quality of service standards are in place
  • Identify and implement improvements to reduce cost of service and increase European capacity.
  • Manage the customer and relationship manager expectations when on-boarding the customer
  • Build collaborative relationships with business partners and other key stakeholders to understand global regulatory and compliance customer documentation requirements.
What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
  • Knowledge of KYC/AML processes including complex ownership structures
  • Solid experience in Onboarding across institutional clients
  • Experience in customer servicing & stakeholder management across different businesses
  • Strong Leadership and people management experience
  • Concern for quality, standards and timelines & results focused
  • Project management experience
  • Self-starter - able to use existing ANZ network to build out distinct, significant program deliverables
  • Expected to work within ambiguity in some instances
