Our client is a leading consultancy business here in the UK and overseas working in offshore wind, oil and gas and offshore infrastructure arena. A fantastic opportunity to join a highly skilled and dynamic team who work on the most leading and forefront of offshore wind projects within the UK.

The role is based in the UK and Ireland with the opportunity to be office based or fully remote.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Statistical analysis of marine mammals and modelling of population and habitat use data.
  • Tender preparation including costing and writing of technical sections.
  • Provide advice and liaise with clients on marine mammal issues relating to large infrastructure offshore projects.
  • Project management alongside mentoring and supporting junior members of staff.
  • Working on developments in the marine planning sector.

What you’ll need to apply:

  • Experience in marine ecology, environmental impact assessments, offshore wind projects, oil and gas projects.
  • A degree in a marine focused environmental or ecological subject.
  • Experience of UK habitat regulations.
  • Understanding of marine mammal risk assessments, underwater noise, marine mammal impacts, mitigation methods, SACs and HRA’s.
