SENIOR NURSERY MANAGER

Location:
Bournemouth, Dorset
Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum
Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week 

Are you looking for a Senior Management position within a passionate Nursery setting?

Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking a Senior Nursery Manager for a permanent, full-time position within Bournemouth. This role is set to start September 2024.

The nursery is located within a quiet and beautiful area, with a number of playrooms, activity zones and opportunities for children to thrive within an engaging environment. It is a 55-place nursery and preschool, where they also run several extra-curricular activities including Forest School, Holiday Club and much more!

As the Senior Nursery Manager, you will help to create a safe, educational and fun environment for the children within your care, and helping to supervise children ensuring their safety. You will help organise and take part in activities such as games, arts and crafts, educational tasks and much more. No day is truly the same within this lovely setting and may be challenging, but you will also laugh, have fun and make lasting memories with the children in your care! You will also become part of an extended family, working alongside other team members who are passionate about providing care, warmth and kindness to those within the Nursery.

For this role, you will be/will need:

  •  A minimum of a Level 3 Early Years Qualification is required
  • Able to demonstrate a solid background in effective nursery management
  • Excellent communication skills with both staff and parents, and able to engage children effectively
  • Creative and imaginative to provide educational activities
  • A positive outlook, to keep children happy and build an environment where children feel secure and rewarded.
  • Able to update parents and Carers about their child’s progress and behaviour
  • The ability to develop and implement an age-appropriate program of annual events and activities

You will also be responsible for arranging marketing materials, monitoring the facility and equipment, preparing for Ofsted inspections, and developing/maintaining the Nursery budget.
