Senior Paraplanner

This Senior Paraplanner job in London provides opportunity to join a quality, Chartered Financial Planning firm.

You will be supporting their team of 2 - 3 London based Financial Advisers, including a Chartered Financial Planner. The business is looking for you to be based locally to the Advisers so that you can work closely with them and easily meet for catch ups. The frequency of your meetings is to be agreed directly between you and the Advisers.

You will also be supported by their head office support team including Paraplanners and Administrators. As a Senior Paraplanner, you will be undertaking technical duties including:

• Technical support as a lead technician for the paraplanning team
• Suitability letter and report writing (plus as a Senior, helping to keep templates up to date with changes in FCA requirements)
• Undertaking financial planning work including income planning, IHT and tax calculations, trust solutions, cashflow planning, assisting with client meetings and follow up work
• Collaborative client work through management and preparation of ongoing advisory services as part of their long term strategy
• Undertaking calculations such as pension carry forward, tapered annual allowance, IHT, CGT and income tax
• Managing project work with analysis and ownership of transition projects for acquired client banks
• Assist the Directors with projects outside of traditional Paraplanner role with business improvements as and when required

As the business is a Chartered Financial Planning firm dealing with HNW and UHNW clients, they would be ideally seeking a Chartered qualified Paraplanner for this position

Senior Paraplanner Requirements

• You must be minimum Level 4 Diploma qualified in Financial Planning or equivalent
• Individuals holding advanced qualifications and Chartered status would be preferred
• You should be a current Paraplanner with experience of complex research, analysis and report writing
• You should have excellent communication skills

Senior Paraplanner Benefits

• Salary of up to £55,000 for Senior Paraplanners
• Salary of up to circa £60,000 with Chartered status

• Remote based role with every Wednesday in the office in Bank to meet the London based Advisers
• Typical working hours of Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm with 1 hour for lunch
• 25 days annual leave (rising up to 30 days) plus bank holiday, plus 1 day’s birthday leave and 1 day for charity / community work each year
