Eventus Recruitment Cheshire are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join a very successful Financial Planning business based in Wilmslow, Cheshire. Role responsibilities:

The role is to support a Senior Financial Planner in providing, implementing and reviewing strategies and advice to private and business clients. There will be a lot of interaction between the Paraplanner and clients, therefore the ability to build strong rapport with clients is essential. Additionally, you will ideally have some exposure in attending client meetings.

Also, in this Paraplanner job, your daily duties will consist of:

  • Supporting IFAs and Financial Planners in preparing accurate financial plans and suitability reports.
  • Supporting the IFAs and Financial Planners in research and analysis to meet client needs and objectives.
  • Have a full understanding of Holistic Financial Planning and be comfortable querying consultants.
  • Dealing with all aspects of advice, such as Inheritance Tax Planning and Trusts etc…
  • Ensuring that any business conducted is done in a responsible and compliant manner.
  • Meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally.

Person specification

To be able to conduct the job duties within this role successfully, the incoming Paraplanner will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Experience of bonds and higher risk investments such as EIS/VCT/BPR.
  • Excellent understanding of the financial planning process.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience of Cashflow planning.
  • Experience of sitting in on client meetings.
  • Achieved professional qualifications to at least Level 4 (CII Diploma in Financial Planning).
  • Ideally on your way to achieving Chartered or already have achieved Chartered status.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Attention to quality, detail and accuracy and getting it right first time.
  • Be able to question colleagues comfortably when the information they have provided is not fully understood or the reasons for advice are unclear.
  • Client focused; friendly, helpful and considerate to all.
  • Enjoys working with other people and works well in a team environment.
