Senior Payroll Officer

Location: Gloucester

Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking a Senior Payroll Officer to join our client's established team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll services for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in payroll and a keen eye for detail.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Processing weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payrolls for a portfolio of clients.
  • Managing and resolving payroll queries from clients and employees efficiently.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with payroll legislation and best practices.
  • Preparing and submitting detailed payroll reports.
  • Liaising with HMRC and other statutory bodies as required to maintain compliance and address any issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a payroll bureau environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll legislation and procedures.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively handle client interactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency in payroll software is essential.
