About the Role

As a Senior Practitioner in the Disabled Children's Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the team manager in overseeing operations and fostering expertise within the team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of complex cases, demonstrating deep expertise and experience.
  • Providing guidance, advice, and consultation on casework practices to team members and collaborators.
  • Contributing to policy development and maintaining practice proficiency.
  • Participating actively in team and service management meetings to inform strategic decision-making.

This role is central to creating a dynamic environment where collective expertise benefits the team and service, fostering a culture of organizational learning and development.

About You

We are looking for a resilient and authoritative practitioner who prioritizes the welfare of children and young people. The ideal candidate will:

  • Manage complex cases, determining suitable thresholds and making recommendations based on the Haringey Threshold guide.
  • Liaise effectively with internal and external partners to ensure the safety of children and young people.
  • Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, providing high-quality, evidence-based assessments.

You will also support your Team Manager and Deputy Team Manager in developing the team, mentoring less experienced colleagues, and driving a high-performance culture. In return, we offer:

  • Time and support to make a meaningful difference.
  • A competitive salary package, including a recruitment & retention payment and relocation offer (subject to eligibility, terms, and conditions).
  • Reduced caseloads across the service.
  • Mobile working technology to maximize your time with children and young people.

Join us in Haringey and be part of a community that stands for progress and inclusivity, making a tangible difference in the lives of our residents.
