Job Title: Social Worker - Families First Team

Location: Seaham, County Durham

They are dedicated to providing exceptional services and support to families in need, and are seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Worker to join their Families First Team in Stanley.

Durham Council are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Social Worker to join our Families First Team in Seaham. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering support to families in the area, working with children, young people, and their parents or carers to promote their well-being and improve their life circumstances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing the needs and risks of children, young people, and their families
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and multi-agency partners
  • Providing support, guidance, and interventions to address safeguarding concerns and promote positive outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation
  • Participating in team meetings, training, and case conferences to ensure the best possible service delivery
  • Advocating for the rights and best interests of children and families
