Successful global law firm is hiring a new Professional Development Advisor to join the growing wider HR team on a permanent basis. This is a perfect opportunity for an Advisor stepping up or an existing Senior Advisor looking for a new challenge.

Responsibilities for the Senior Professional Development Advisor include:

  • Developing and coordinating the delivery of legal and professional development training for London partners, counsel, associates, and trainees to address their respective learning and development needs
  • Working with HR to coordinate the lawyering orientation process for new trainees, associates, and counsel
  • Managing the evaluation process for London trainees, associates and counsel, including supervising the collection of evaluations and interviewing partners to collect evaluations
  • Coordinating the associate reviews
  • Supporting the formal advising program for associates, including advisor assignments, orientation, and training in advising on related matters
  • Providing career counselling and guidance for associates and counsel on professional development and practice issues
  • Monitoring trends and best practices in professional development and make recommendations for strengthening the office’s ability to develop and retain associates

Key requirements for the Senior Professional Development Advisor include:

  • A minimum of 3 years professional development experience within a professional services organisation, preferably within a law firm
  • Exceptional written, communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to implement programs and initiatives
