Position: Senior Underwriter - Professional Indemnity
Salary: £150,000 + package
Location: City of London
Hybrid: Yes

A global (re)insurance company is seeking a Senior Professional Indemnity Underwriter to join its Professional Risks team, focusing on UK, US, and international professional indemnity business.

This position involves underwriting new and renewal business, engaging with brokers and clients, and contributing to portfolio development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Underwrite UK, US, and international professional indemnity risks
- Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Stay informed on market and legal developments
- Represent the team at industry events and meetings

Requirements:

- Strong technical underwriting expertise, particularly in Architects & Engineers, Contractors, and Solicitors' PI classes
- In-depth knowledge of policy wordings and legal frameworks in key jurisdictions
- Extensive London Market experience in professional indemnity
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills
- Ability to drive results, adapt to client needs, and influence stakeholders
