Senior Project Managerwho has extensive experience across a broad range of technology related projects, managing multiple projects concurrently and assembling cross-functional teams with good team leadership/supervisory/management skills is required to join a well-established housing association based in Ealing, West London.

Ideally you will have experience of working within one of these sectors: Not-for-Profit, Charity, Housing, Property Services, Construction or Public Sector/Local Authority - although this is not essential and other industry backgrounds will be considered

SALARY: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum + Generous Benefits (see below)

LOCATION: Hybrid role - working partly from the office in Ealing, and the remainder from home

WORKING HOURS: 35 hours per week

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Senior Project Managerwho has extensive experience across a broad range of technology related projects, managing multiple projects concurrently and assembling cross-functional teams with good team leadership/supervisory skills.

Working as the Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for effectively planning, overseeing and completing technology projects within established budget, timelines and quality benchmarks.

As the Senior Project Manager you will provide direct line management supervision for assigned Project Manager(s) and take responsibility for broad functional delivery across projects and programs throughout the organisation.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Senior Project Managerwill include:

  • Lead and manage high-profile, complex technology projects throughout the end-to-end project lifecycle. This includes overseeing a cross-functional team across all project stages and coordinating with multiple suppliers
  • Work autonomously and with direct reports to develop both outline and comprehensive business cases for projects, adhering to agreed standards. This includes assessing high-level requirements, potential benefits, risks and delivery issues
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, engaging with all levels internally and with external supplier organisations
  • Establish project governance, ensure upward reporting, manage and mitigate risks, and recognise when to escalate issues appropriately
  • Lead procurement activities for projects, identifying cost benefits and total cost of ownership (TCO.)
  • Define the scope and plan tolerances with Project Sponsor(s) to meet business requirements, ensuring continuous alignment with overall phase deliverables, outcomes, and agreed solutions
  • Establish a framework for benefits realisation to enable client departments to track and report progress against baselines. Share and promote the use of change practices and strategies to support the achievement of project objectives and related benefits
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the Training & Testing Managers to ensure the execution of the training plan aligns appropriately with the project

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in English (Grades A*-C)
  • Prince2 Practitioner certification or similar / equivalent qualification
  • Extensive experience across a broad range of technology related projects and managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience in assembling and managing cross-functional teams for successful project delivery across the entire project lifecycle, including initiation, transition, ELS and decommissioning
  • Experience of managing multiple large-scale suppliers, incoming and incumbent
  • Ability to manage and coach project managers
  • Prior experience of working within one of these sectors would be ideal: Not-for-Profit, Charity, Housing, Property Services, Construction or Public Sector/Local Authority - although this is not essential and other industry backgrounds will be considered
