Position Overview:
Harvey Mcqueen are excited to present an excellent job opportunity for our client seeking a Senior Qualified Management Accountant.This role sits within the Finance team supporting and assisting the Financial Controller to ensure the day to day smooth running of the finance department.
The role has direct reports from the Finance team. A key requirement of the role is that regular 1:1s arranges with the team with the aim of continuously enhancing the quality of the outputs from the team.
Responsibilities
o Monitor and review Edge (in house system) to ensure that all funds have been allocated and processed correctly - raise any issues to relevant departments
o Monitor SAGE Financial System - to ensure all funds received a correctly allocated and required posting are completed.
o Check all Monthly reconciliation of all Bank accounts account are completed
o Managing balance sheets including monthly balance sheet reconciliations - including the Prepayment, accrual & FA.
o Ensure all invoices are posted on SAGE and payment runs are completed
o Check and monitor the remit process daily for all clients
o Understanding all EAs commission calculations, and covering the Finance & Commission Assistant
o Assist in the timely submission of the annual appraisals for the finance team
o Day to Day HR requirements for finance team are submitted
o Ensure all monthly VAT invoice are prepared as per the requirement of the various key clients
o Providing cover during absences and holidays or during times of high transaction volume
o Preparing quarterly VAT returns
o Ensuring timely and accurate submissions of all statutory requirements across all businesses including VAT PAYE & National Statistics returns
o Assist with the year end audit and timely response to audit queries
Ad-hoc
o Other ad-hoc tasks / projects as required
o Deputising for the Group Financial Controller as required
o Work closely and provide support to Trainee Management Accountant and Finance Assistants.
o Checking and authorising Bank payments for daily remits and bacs runs.
Essential Skills:
o CIMA Qualified or QBE
o Experience working in a finance role / department
o Good knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft applications
o Strong management capabilities
o Good time management, organisational and planning skills - ability to prioritise work and meet reporting deadlines
o Highly organised
o Proactive
o Ability to develop strong working relationship across the business.
o Must be highly professional at all times
o Flexibility and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced organisation

Desirable Skills / Experience:
o Working knowledge of SAGE programmes
o Ability to develop strong working relationships across the business
o Over 2-years experience working within similar finance role/department
