Job Description:
Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career? My client is seeking a dynamic and skilled individual to join the team in Leeds. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality services to clients whilst playing a key part in the day-to-day running of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand contractual terms and conditions.
  • Oversee the rest of the commercial team
  • Prepare take-off and material schedules
  • Liaise between commercial team, project team and management to ensure clarity across the projects/business.
  • Prepare and analyse project costings for labour, plant, material and sub-contract items including sub-contractor comparisons
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities and Activity Schedules
  • Negotiate contracts terms, attendances and payment schedules
  • Prepare and issue subcontractor orders, overseeing all commercial performance throughout the contract duration
  • Perform risk, value management and cost control during construction
  • Undertake cost analysis
  • Advise on a procurement strategy
  • Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks
  • Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes
  • Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports
  • Value completed work (AFP), oversee bills and arrange payments within the payment schedule timeline
  • Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use
  • Price variations and Compensation Events
  • Prepare Loss and Expense Claims and EOTs
