Senior R&D Scientist - Food Diagnostics (Job Ref: 24N/SRDS)

What does this team do?

Our R&D Scientists within our Food Diagnostic division focuses on development and release of innovative food quality and food safety test solutions, for the food industry.

Location:Randox Science Park, 30 Randalstown Road, Antrim, BT414LF

Contract Offered: Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours / Shifts: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. 8:40am- 5:20pm.

What does the role involve?

This role is tasked with development and release of innovative food quality and food safety test solutions, for the food industry.

  • Contaminant Analysis in food.
  • Routine/trend analysis.
  • Detailed completion of laboratory report.
  • Completion of experimental work associated with development of diagnostic products.
  • Familiarisation of current methods and technologies.

Full on the job training will be provided on our processes.

Who can apply?

This role would suit someone with R&D experience within a laboratory setting:

Other Essential criteria:

  • Previous experience within a laboratory setting.
  • Qualified to degree level: Biochemistry, Chemistry or a Life Science degree.
  • Working accurately under pressure.
  • Eligibility to work within the UK

Desirable:

  • Previous leadership experience in a scientific role
  • Masters or PHD in Biochemistry.
