Our client is an award winning, business to business provider of air conditioning, refrigeration, heating, and ventilation, offering a full turnkey solution of installation, modernisation, repair, maintenance, 24-hour servicing and equipment hire.

Every day is different, you will be working in Convenience Stores, the Food/Drinks industry, Commercial offices, Prisons, Schools, Heavy Industry sites and much more.

The main operational area would be, but not limited to: North Yorkshire, South Durham, Harrogate, Ripon, York and the Tees Valley.

Role Responsibilities:

  • The repair, maintenance of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Systems including working on, Cold Rooms, Chiller Cabinets and Display Cabinets. Split A/C, AHU, VRV Systems and Water Chillers.
  • Identifying and rectifying faults.
  • Providing technical information and advice to customers.
  • You will be part of the Engineering Standby Rota.

The successful candidate:

  • 8+ years’ experience, with a strong bias towards Refigeration.
  • Can do attitude, highly motivated and productive individual who is always willing to lead from the front, exacting the highest engineering standards to complete the task and giving the very best customer service.
  • Effective communicator good organization skills with the ability to prioritise tasks accordingly.
  • Proven expertise in fault investigation and rectification.
  • Experienced in maintaining and servicing a wide range of HVAC / refrigeration systems.
  • Reliable, resourceful, able to work well within a team but equally motivated when working as an individual.
  • City & Guilds Qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or similar.
  • Mechanical and Electrical Skills.
  • ECTIB Safety Passport.
  • Sound knowledge of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
  • Clean driving licence.
  • Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
  • References to be provided.
  • Ability to support less experienced engineers over the phone or in person.
  • Ability to support apprentices who are new to the industry and require hands-on experience for their coursework.
  • Have a flexible approach to allow the client to provide the right service to the customer as their needs arise to get the job done.
