Senior Regeneration Officer
We are working with a Local Authority based in the West Midlands who are requiring the support of a Regeneration Officer for an initial 3- 6 month period.
Regeneration Officer
Duration: 3-6 months initially possible extension
Rate: Negotiable Rate Inside IR35
Hours: 37 hours per week
Hybrid working – East Midlands (1-2 days per week on site)
Responsibilities:
- Be accountable and responsible for the development and delivery of evidence based regeneration studies, projects and master planning to address socio-economic and built environment challenges to an area, delivering better outcomes for the district’s residential and business community to meet the Council’s strategic priorities
- Manage the production of development and regeneration project implementation documents, project plans, viability/market appraisals, risk assessments and provide the relevant professional advice
- Identify and direct the activity necessary for site assembly including unlocking land opportunities and facilitating public and private sector development partnerships.

- Assist in the development of funding that will catalyse further private sector investment into regeneration programmes
Requirements:
- Extensive experience of working in a development, regeneration, housing or planning environment
- Knowledge and experience of property and development viability issues and appraisal techniques
- Experience of having secured external funding and bid writing
- Educated to Degree level (housing, planning, property or regeneration related degree)
