Our client's expanding Division is currently seeking experienced Senior Reinsurance professionals to join their successful team of Reinsurance Technicians.

You will be able to work on a hybrid basis between home and the office, with 2 of these days working from home.

We have several permanent opportunities available across Pro Rata, Facultative, and/or Excess of Loss specialisms.

As a Senior Reinsurance Technician, you will be responsible for managing the most complex portfolios, typically overseeing four client accounts.

Your duties will include Reinsurance coverage assessment, processing of premiums and/or loss transactions, associated cash follow-up, and the application and disbursement of funds due.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will provide guidance and training to less experienced colleagues, and you may also take on some leadership and business support activities.

As a Senior Reinsurance Technician your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage your client portfolio, taking full responsibility of technical duties relating to client accounts, premiums and claims. Covering excess of loss and pro rata business or alternatively binder and facultative risk types
  • Assess and submit client and/or reinsurer presentation materials and communications
  • Provide support and mentoring to less experienced colleagues
  • Work with credit control to assist with collection of funds
  • Manage all brokerage receivables, funding, retention, e-trading, post booking receipt, payment of funds and all management and transactional process steps
  • Understand issues, resolve problems and queries

A successful Senior Reinsurance Technician will demonstrate:

  • Experience of working within a Reinsurance technical role
  • Successful management of workload with an ability to manage expectations of all clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to engage and negotiate with clients, market contacts and colleagues in a professional manner
