Job Description:
- Conduct verification activities and other assignments in support of the agreed Wells Rig Verification Annual Plan by focusing on prioritised Wells enduring risks including applicable barrier effectiveness and emerging risks.
- Review pre-read materials and prepare system specific test plans (where applicable), daily plans, and sampling strategy based on the verification scope and role(s).
- Develop findings which clearly outline the gaps that exist between current practices and requirements and categorise these to reflect impairment of selected barrier effectiveness.
- Clarify and collaboratively support closure of Findings and related Actions.
- While working in verification teams, build positive and collaborative relationships.
- Role model and advocate of bp’s Beliefs demonstrating outstanding leadership and leading by example with respect to ”Who we Are” and bp’s safety leadership principles..
- Promote and support Organisational learning within Rig Verification to systematically codify RV learnings and enable continuous improvement and risk reduction across Wells.
- Development role for future drilling supervisory position and continuing professional development.
Experience and Job Requirements:
- Valid BOSIET/FOET and Medical Certification of Fitness for Offshore Work
- +10 years’ experience of work in drilling, completion, or intervention operations.
- Experience in Supervisory position for Drilling Operations (e.g proven Well Site Leader experience on platforms, drill ships, or semi-submersible rigs.)
- The ability to travel and work offshore.
- Proven proficiency in English for reading, writing, and speaking.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the capability to work in a multi-cultural, multidisciplinary environment.
- Understands the fundamentals of drilling equipment, safety critical systems and well control equipment.
Education:
- A University degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Well Control certification for Subsea and Surface at the Supervisory Level from an industry accreditation programmes, such as IADC or IWCF.
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge of regulations and standards relevant to well operations.
- Proven leadership in Operational Safety and Risk Management.
Location/Site:
- Rotator (3 weeks on/off supporting global portfolio)
