The Senior Sales Executives Role:

Due to the nature of the business our client is looking for people from a food packaging background.

We are looking to recruit a Sales Executive for our UK organization, who will be responsible for developing sales with companies primarily in the food industry (fresh meat, fish, cheese, poultry and ready meals).

The successful candidate will represent a wide portfolio of packaging solutions and will execute sales across all units within the Group

We are in a growth phase following the Group’s biggest investment in the UK and as well as selling established market-leading products, the candidate will also be tasked with selling and marketing a range of sustainable packaging solutions, in line with the Group’s target of being carbon neutral by 2025

For the successful Senior Sales Executive, our client is offering;

  • £66,245 P/A Salary
  • 8.30 AM to 5.00 PM Monday to Friday
  • Permanent position
  • Remote Position

The Role - Senior Sales Executive

  • Maintaining and developing existing customers
  • New business development
  • Identifying and mapping customers’ flexible packaging needs
  • Maintaining and developing a sales pipeline
  • Preparing and negotiating offers and contracts, and managing sales price adjustments
  • Increasing market awareness of the Group’s total product portfolio
  • Planning budgets, sales volume, values, product mix and time scales
  • Maintain supplier relationships and support local purchasing.

What our client is looking for in aSenior Sales Executive:

  • Proven track record in the packaging industry
  • Proven results in business development and managing accounts
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Technical background, combined with a commercial mindset
  • Solid written and oral communication skills (delivering presentations, public speaking, one-to-one negotiations, telephone communications, etc.)
  • Self-driven, enthusiastic and result-oriented, with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Shows initiative and demonstrates dynamic thinking
  • A flexible and empathic attitude
  • The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial and outgoing team player, with industry contacts at a decision-making level.
  • You must also be willing to spend several nights away from home per month.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to negotiate contracts in English to ensure strategy implementation. Any other language skill is considered as a plus.
