Senior ServiceNow Configuration Manager - £80,000 - £90,000 - Hybrid

Are you a ServiceNow Configuration Manager? In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness and effectiveness of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within ServiceNow. My client is one of ServiceNow’s top 20 customers in the world and is pushing to continuously innovate and improve.

Experience/skills required:

• Strong understanding of ServiceNow Configuration Management and ITIL/ITSM frameworks
• Experience in managing a ServiceNow CMDB, including data governance, configuration item definition, relationship mapping, and data quality control
• Proven track record of developing and implementing ServiceNow configuration management best practices
• Experience managing an outsourced service.
• Experience owning the overall control framework.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management of the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information through data governance, configuration item definition, relationship mapping, and data quality control.
• Develop and implement ServiceNow configuration management best practices, aligned with ITIL and/or ITSM frameworks.
• Design and configure the CMDB structure, including defining configuration item classes, attributes, and relationships.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure consistent data entry and adherence to CMDB standards.
• Analyse CMDB data to identify trends, troubleshoot configuration inconsistencies, and support problem management initiatives.
• Develop and maintain ServiceNow workflows and automations to streamline CMDB management tasks.
• Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to promote the value and adoption of the CMDB.
