Senior Site Engineer

Your new company

In your new role as a Senior Site Engineer you will be joining a fast-growing and progressive construction company operating across the UK. Working as part of a key infrastructure project in the Inverness area, you will be engaged on a freelance basis for up to 12 months.

Your new role

In your new role as a Senior Site Engineer, you will form a key part of the on-site delivery team. In your role as a Senior Site Engineer, you will provide technical expertise to a large civil engineering project. You will liaise with the Project Manager and the wider site engineering team to review drawings and provide advice. You will contribute to the management of subcontractors, with a keen eye on quality assurance. Leading the team in compliance with health & safety regulations, working towards project programme and milestones and working to minimise risks to the project, you will have key responsibilities on site to ensure successful delivery of the project.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successfully appointed in this role, you must have a proven track record in Site Engineering roles and have taken a step into a more senior role, such as Senior Engineer or Sub-Agent. This position would require you to hold formal qualifications in civil engineering such as a degree or HNC/ HND. In addition to this, you must hold a valid CSCS card in addition to an SMSTS. Ideally, you will also hold a temporary works certificate. In addition to strong technical experience in civil engineering, you will have strong IT skills, be proficient in the use of Auto CAD, have excellent record keeping and documentation skills and the ability to collaborate with the wider team through strong communication skills.

What you'll get in return

This is a unique opportunity to work on a flagship infrastructure project in the North of Scotland and secure a long-term freelance contract. You can be paid via a Limited Company or on a PAYE or Umbrella basis and receive a competitive daily rate. This role does not offer accommodation or subsistence, so candidates in the local Inverness area would be preferred. This freelance opportunity is long term and with a growing organisation, so there is the chance of future work opportunities.
