The Role

M&G are looking for a Senior Social Media Manager to bring to life our engagement to promote Financial Advice and to champion the role of the Financial Adviser, so that everyone has the opportunity to realise their financial goals.
The Senior Social Media Manager will shape our strategy across social channels to amplify M&G's commitment to financial well-being, whilst supporting our engagement and communications across our social channels.
Our focus across all of our customers will be what sets us apart, and our social channels provide a basis to connect to all of our customers.
We're looking for an exceptional individual to drive the development of our social media strategy to enable us to create engagement, drive brand and deliver impact across the social channel mix.

Responsibilities
  • Establish our strategic approach to social media, across the channel mix and developing a content strategy that create opportunity to engage with our customers
  • Collaborate across marketing teams, alongside our operational and sales teams to develop and manage a communications framework that helps us get closer to our customers
  • Create and embed communication standards, including copy development, creative and visual stimuli together with measures and KPI's.
  • Create and define our influencer strategy
  • Create, define and operationalise emerging new channels that could support M&G to shape conversations with customers
  • Ensure all analytics of our social media mix and content are integrated into key scorecards and communicated
  • Work closely with key business stakeholders to expand on social content opportunities and communicate the roadmap of enhancements clearly
  • Keep everyone safe - develop in conjunction with Brand, Risk and Compliance clear control policies
  • Ensure we have eyes and ears on our social platforms, alerting the wider team to key announcements

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • At least six years of experience developing and owning strategic outcomes in a social media/digital marketing environment within financial services
  • A stand-out ability and understanding of social media functionality, formats and best practices across all social channels with technical understanding of how the industry is evolving
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience of implementing, developing and delivering financial services content campaigns (both financial and non-financial promotions) via social media management platforms for Financial Advisers and Retail Customers
  • Significant and proven technical capability and experience in using social media advertising platforms for paid social campaigns
  • Highly proficient with social media monitoring tools, for listening, publishing and reporting
