We are delighted to announce that we have partnered with Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust to support with their recruitment of a Senior Software Developer who has significant experience of working with Umbraco. The person appointed will lead the Umbraco development team and be the Umbraco CMS subject matter expert across the Trust. The successful candidate will influence, shape, and challenge across the Trust, ensuring a joined-up approach to development and delivery. The Senior Software Developer will play a vital role in developing and implementing a bespoke digital platform consisting of a website and a Patient Account Portal.

The Patient Account Portal will empower patients, serving as a centralised platform for engagement. You will create a modern, user-friendly website that will engage visitors and facilitate online interactions. The Senior Software Developer appointed to this position will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to improving the patient experience within the Trust.

As a Senior Software Developer you must be able to:

  • Develop and implement Technical Product Roadmaps for the trust and services for the development and delivery of the Patient Portal.
  • To develop and implement an Umbraco Content Management Systems (CMS) Development and Delivery strategy (including the translation of UI/UX designs to web visuals)
  • Lead, manage, develop, customise, and maintain web applications and user interfaces using Umbraco CMS and front-end tooling.
  • Implement robust features by writing clean, scalable, and easily maintainable code.
  • Address any issues related to the Umbraco backend and database.
  • Drive and lead the upgrade roadmap for the Umbraco platform as necessary and ensure compatibility with all plugins.
  • Stay updated and promote within the team the latest trends in Umbraco development and in general CMS.

As a Senior Software Developer you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in developing websites using the Umbraco CMS.
  • Proficient in C# and .NET framework, essential for Umbraco development.
  • Familiarity with MVC design patterns.
  • Deep understanding of web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with database design and integration for Umbraco projects.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in version control tools, preferably Git.
  • Understanding of best practices for site performance and optimization in Umbraco.
  • Collaborative team spirit with excellent communication abilities.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest Umbraco updates and features.
