Opportunity for an experience Supplier Quality Assurance Manager to joint he business and take ownership of all supplier relationships from a Quality and Regulatory perspective.

Global, multi-award winning cosmetics business based in Central London.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Senior SQA Manager include:

  • Working with our outsourced supply chain partners to ensure Quality control and assurance documentation to ensure quality of finished goods, componentry and packaging,
  • Manage retains, product release process, including development of QAS's and management of quality issues, attending first and ongoing production runs of both filled goods and packaging as required.
  • Evaluation of existing & new suppliers through self-assessments, surveys, and audits.
  • Lead, manage and coordinate the UK related activities of formula approval and testing.
  • Conduct external audits, inspections and visits: prepare, co-ordinate and facilitate external audits and inspections, ensure smooth and effective interactions with suppliers, regulatory authorities and third-party assessors.
  • Work with internal stakeholders, customers and third parties on sustainability matters and requirements such as EPR, SEDEX, Greenhouse Protocol, Recycling schemes etc.
  • Lead on all aspects of Supply Chain compliance: eg Modern Slavery & REACH etc.
  • Provide technical support regarding Customer complaints, RMAs, non-conformance reports
  • Maintain product attributes on Global Data Sheet and associated reporting tools for MSDS, Product attributes, DIMS etc.
  • Development and administration of office Health & Safety requirements
  • Training and Education: design and deliver training programs to educate employees on quality best practices, fostering a quality culture throughout the organisation.

Profile

The ideal Senior SQA Manager will have experience in:

  • Supplier Quality Assurance experience with cosmetics, haircare, OTC medicine or other regulated personal care products
  • Understanding and experience of working with or developing systems compliant with certification standards such as ISO9001:2015, ISO 22716:2007, BRC Consumer products / Food.
  • Experience in outsourced manufacturing/filler supplier management
  • Experience in componentry and packaging
  • Very high standards and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build relationships across the company and with our supply partners with strong influencing abilities
  • A 'completer finisher' who gets the job done themselves, and with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written communication, verbal communication, presentation, motivation, and interpersonal skills with a dynamic team working ethos.
  • Dynamic and hands on with a start-up mentality
  • Experience working in a fast business growth and development environment would be a strong advantage
