Senior Autism Practitioner - Orkney
Pay rate: Between £15-£17 per hour.
My reputable client is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Autism Practitioner to help lead our team of practitioners and ensure the highest standards of care for our service users.
Role Overview:
As a Senior Autism Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Registered Manager in overseeing a team of practitioners, providing direct support to service users, and managing rotas and staffing levels. Your experience and expertise will be crucial in ensuring our services run smoothly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operations of the service.
- Provide guidance and leadership to a team of practitioners, ensuring high-quality care and support for service users.
- Assist in managing staff rotas and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
- Deliver direct support to service users, promoting their independence and well-being.
- Ensure all staff adhere to organisational policies and procedures.
- Participate in the development and implementation of individual care plans.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Foster a positive and supportive team environment.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience working in a similar setting, preferably with individuals with autism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management abilities.
- Hold an SVQ 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Willingness to work towards an SVQ 4 in Health and Social Care.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and training.
