The Client recruiting for the Senior Technical Designer

• Bespoke and custom designed furniture manufacturer.
• Expanding to new and larger facilities to meet rising demand.
• Working alongside prestigious clientele and liaising with renowned architects, interior designers, and high-profile homeowners
• Offices based in the scenic Buckinghamshire countryside

Your Role as a Senior Technical Designer

• Interpret sales concepts and produce detailed production and installation drawings using.
• Collaborate with the sales teams, production manager, workshop teams, and purchasing departments at various points in the project.
• Compile Solidworks & SWOOD models and detailed packs for the workshop and installation teams, along with Bills of Materials (BoM)
• Suggest and implement improvements within the software and manufacturing processes.
• Liaise with subcontractors for bespoke metalwork, glass, and upholstery orders.
• Check CNC programs before production and hand over projects to the production manager and cabinet makers.
• Office based 39 hours per week; Mon - Thur 8am - 5pm, Fri 8am - 4pm. Potential for some hybrid once fully up to speed

Ideal Background for the Senior Technical Designer Position

• 3+ years' experience in custom joinery or luxury furniture design.
• Proficiency in SWOOD CAD/CAM design software is essential.
• Knowledge of Sketchup/Layout and CNC programming software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commutable to Thame daily
• Right to work in the UK as sponsorship will not be provided

The Package for the Senior Technical Designer

• £35,000 - £50,000 basic salary, depending on experience
• Ample overtime
