Responsibilities: 

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of UX/UI designers.
  • Facilitate professional development and growth within the team.
  • Foster a collaborative design environment.

Design Strategy:

  • Develop and implement design strategies that align with business goals.
  • Advocate for user-centered design approaches across the organization.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define design vision and strategy.

Project Management:

  • Oversee multiple design projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs.
  • Manage design resources and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct regular design reviews and provide constructive feedback.

User Research & Testing:

  • Lead user research initiatives to understand user needs and behaviours.
  • Plan and conduct usability testing sessions and interpret results.
  • Translate research findings into actionable design improvements.

Design Execution:

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile applications.
  • Ensure all designs are aligned with brand guidelines and accessibility standards.
  • Stay current with industry trends and incorporate best practices into the design process.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including development, marketing, and sales.
  • Communicate design concepts and specifications clearly to stakeholders.
  • Participate in product roadmap planning and prioritization.


Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful digital products and experiences.
  • Extensive hands-on experience leading UX research in a product design environment across the Design Thinking stages.
  • Self-starter with the ability to define goals and strategies.
  • Experience designing internal products and tools.
  • Significant experience working with senior stakeholders and engineers.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.


Skills:

  • Expertise in design and prototyping in Figma.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.
  • Creative problem solver comfortable dealing with uncertainty.
  • Ability to lead workshops relating to UX Research both in-person & remote.
  • Create strong UI prototypes and high-fidelity designs showcased in a portfolio
  • Proactive and positive attitude, with strong attention to detail & analytical skills.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.


Portfolio:

· A strong portfolio showcasing a range of UX/UI design projects, including examples of leading design teams and strategic thinking.

Desirable Skills, Experience and Competencies:

  • Experience with agile methodology.
  • Experience working in a fintech industry.
  • Bachelor’s/University degre
