We're looking  for a Senior Visitor Experience Officer.

If you enjoy working in a team, motivating others, and connecting with our visitors by organising entertaining and engaging events and activities, we have a wonderful opportunity for you. 

You'll be required to work weekends.

What it's like to work here

You'll be joining a passionate and motivated team at Lyveden. Reporting to the property Operations Manager, you'll lead the Programming and Welcome team's. You'll manage a team of 7.

You’ll need enthusiasm and commitment to work at this fascinating property, the variety and challenge of being part of the team offers many rewards.

Set in the heart of rural Northamptonshire, Lyveden is a remarkable survivor of the Elizabethan age. There are tranquil moats, viewing terraces and an Elizabethan orchard to explore, as well as an enigmatic garden lodge and visitor facilities manor house.

What you'll be doing

With your team, you’ll be inspiring support and creating amazing experiences for our visitors.

You'll be supervising and supporting volunteers, organising rotas, and maintaining presentation standards on site. You'll work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure the smooth day to day running of the property. Developing the visitor experience and enhancing the core offer. This includes supporting the delivery of the programming and organising new events and activities for both regular and new audiences.

You’ll be a team player who can organise and manage their time and workload effectively. As a key member of the property team, you'll pride yourself on delivering an excellent visitor experience and motivating your team. You'll be encouraged to learn how each department at the property contributes to our shared goals and to share your own knowledge and ideas.

Who we're looking for

This job is all about providing a service. We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • experience of delivering inspirational engagement activities
  • people skills, enabling good working relationships with those in your team and across the property
  • understanding of how to interpret significant collections to varied audiences
  • excellent organisational skills, and the ability to time manage projects successfully
  • strong interpersonal skills, able to deal with visitors in a variety of situations
  • flexible customer focused approach with experience in delivering high standards of customer service
  • experience of working with and supervising volunteers
