Macildowie are working with an established business based in Nottiinghamshire who are looking to recruit an experienced SEO Specialist to join the commercial department. This role is pivotal in driving online visibility and commercial success. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for SEO, staying current with the latest algorithm changes and industry news. They will be a problem solver, team collaborator, and a driver of commercially impactful results.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive and execute comprehensive SEO strategies across various brands to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic
  • Stay up to date with the latest search engine algorithms and updates, adjusting strategies as needed
  • Stay up to date with best practice documentation from Google and other search engines to ensure compliance and optimal performance
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including content managers, developers, and marketing teams to ensure up to date SEO best practices are adhered to
  • Confidently brief technical requirements to developers and ensure the implementation of on-site and off-site SEO tactics
  • Work closely with in-house and agency PR teams to drive results.
  • Oversee and manage external SEO agencies to ensure they deliver high-quality work and meet agreed KPIs.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practice documentation from Google and other search engines to ensure compliance and optimal performance
  • Confident in Search Console and GA4 to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive urgency for action where necessary
  • Regularly report on SEO performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement

Skills required for the role:

  • Proven track record in SEO with at least 3 years of experience
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO and experience in briefing technical requirements to developers
  • Highly experienced with Screaming Frog, Ahrefs/SEMrush, Lumar, Search Console, and GA4
  • Demonstrated experience in building and managing backlink strategies
  • Experience in managing SEO agencies and ensuring delivery against KPIs
  • Strong with numbers, capable of spotting trends and making data-driven decisions
  • Excellent team collaboration skills, with the ability to work well with others and drive results
