About the RoleWe are looking for a results-driven and detail-oriented SEO Specialist to join our marketing team. This role is ideal for a professional with at least three years of experience in technical SEO, content optimisation, and search engine strategy. As an SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for optimising Pharmica’s website, improving search rankings, and driving organic growth. You’ll work closely with content creators, developers, and marketing specialists to ensure best practices are followed, while staying up to date with search engine trends and algorithm updates.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical SEO & Website Optimisation:Conduct technical SEO audits to identify and resolve issues related to crawlability, indexing, structured data, and page speed.
Improve website architecture, internal linking, and site hierarchy for better user experience and search performance.
Implement schema markup, XML sitemaps, and robots.txt best practices.
Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals and overall site performance.
Conduct keyword research and map keywords to optimise content strategy.
Collaborate with content creators to optimise metadata, headings, and on-page elements for maximum visibility.
Ensure SEO-friendly URL structures and content formatting.
Support the creation of high-quality, optimised content that aligns with Google’s E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness) guidelines.
Develop and execute ethical link-building strategies to improve domain authority.
Identify high-quality backlink opportunities and manage outreach campaigns.
Monitor backlink profile and take action on toxic links using Google’s Disavow Tool when necessary.
Track and analyse organic search performance using Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Ahrefs, SEMrush.
Provide weekly and monthly reports on rankings, traffic, and SEO impact.
Conduct competitor analysis to benchmark performance and identify opportunities.
Stay informed about Google algorithm updates and recommend adjustments as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum three years’ experience in an SEO-focused role.
Expertise in Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and other SEO tools.
Strong knowledge of technical SEO, including site audits, structured data, and page speed optimisation.
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for SEO implementations (preferred but not essential).
Experience in A/B testing and conversion rate optimisation (CRO).
Understanding of local SEO and how to optimise for Google My Business.
Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills for data analysis and reporting.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, analytical mindset.
Salary: £35,000-£50,000 per year (based on experience).
