Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Service Charge Accountant on a permanent basis. You will need good general accounting skills including double-entry bookkeeping and AAT Qualifications to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities for the Service Charge Accountant will include: -

  • Production of residential service charge accounts
  • Reconciliation of independently prepared accounts
  • Client liaison on all accounting matters
  • Internal liaison with Property Managers
  • Assisting with complex queries from Property Managers
  • Production of year end certificates and explanations with final accounts
  • Supporting the Property Managers and Branch Managers in the local branch
  • Assisting Directors in the understanding of the service charge accounts
  • Attending AGMs and other meetings with clients as required
  • Ensuring the RICS Service Charge Residential Management Code is adhered to.

The ideal candidate for this role will have double-entry bookkeeping experience, strong numeracy, literacy and communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines.

The salary for this position is £30,000 pa, our client also offers support with ongoing industry training and personal development, 25 days holiday and pension scheme.

The working hours for this role are 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.
