We are currently recruiting for a 6 to 12 month contract for a highly regarded Housing provider in South Wales.

  • Attend the office once per fortnight
  • Paid on a day rate of up to £400 (umbrella or LTD)
  • Start date between now and end of May
  • 37.5 hours - Monday to Friday (09:00am to 17:00pm with flexibility)

The role:

  • Covering 5,000 homes that have service charges in addition to rent of various tenure types, mainly secure occupation contract holders
  • Re-calculating service charges on an annual basis
  • Using Civica Financials and Civica CX to migrate data from complex databases into Civica to allow simpler process of setting service charges effectively
  • Ensuring confidence in the integrity of historic data on the legacy system before migrating it to Civica Contractor
  • Managing and coordinating a variable service charge system and identifying several areas where we believe we need to focus our attention to improve quality
  • Helping to redesign the service charge system overall for the long term
  • Being able to demonstrate to residents that service charges are fair, giving them a transparent image of company policy
  • Helping to reduce service charges, engaging with residents, and listening to their views
  • Engaging across most departments and facilitating collective activity to achieve the required outcomes
  • Reporting progress to the Head of Housing
  • Using the current service charge policy within the organisation in order to create a comprehensive framework to support the system of activities in the area with principles to underpin the approach taken

The candidate:

  • Operated at a senior level within Housing previously
  • Experience of rents and service charges (ideally in rent/charge setting), leading reviews, producing frameworks (including procedures, flows, templates, etc.) and redesigning services
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills will be required (but no line management involved)
