£300 per day (umbrella)

Full Time Contract (6 months)

Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Services Accountant in Elmbridge. This is a contract without a scope for extension working full time hours.

The job:

• To provide financial information and advice to the Head of Finance, Chief Accountant, Team Heads and budget holders
• Overseeing the budget performance, prepare the final accounts, and advise to Planning, Environmental and Customer Services functions
• To support the development of the organisation's rolling medium term financial strategy
• To be responsible for the preparation of the Final Accounts for those services within the postholder's responsibilities
• To prepare monthly revenue budget monitoring reports for budget managers

The candidate:

• Must be a member or part qualified member of a CCAB Body (preferably CIPFA)

• Education to a degree level in a relevant field is desirable
• Experience in a similar role in the public sector is essential
