Job Advert Role Description
We are looking for an experienced and motivated sessional therapist to support our private adult mental health service with the delivery of group therapy to inpatients on Saturday mornings and outpatient individual therapy sessions.
The successful candidate will have at least three-years post-qualification (Level 5 Diploma or equivalent as a minimum) experience of working with a range of adult mental health issues on both a group and individual basis.
Relevant accreditation with the BACP, BABCP, UKCP, or HCPC will also be required for this role.
The role will involve the provision of psycho-educational group therapy to inpatients who require therapeutic intervention, and a good knowledge of CBT, risk assessments, and risk management is essential.
In addition, there will be the opportunity for the successful candidate to take on a caseload of outpatients for individual therapy outside of the group programme. Due current demand, ideally we would be looking for the successful candidate to offer in-person appointment times later in the day or during evenings/at weekends.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in a similar setting, ideally with specific CBT, DBT or EMDR skills.
