About the Role

- Operations is a critical function that supports our Investment Management teams by processing client transactions and safeguarding client assets.
- This role is part of the Global Settlements team and reports to the Settlements Manager. It offers the opportunity to engage in the entire trade lifecycle, from order inception to the final settlement of stock and cash across various asset classes and markets.
- You will join a team of eleven professionals, with a primary focus on the settlement of UK Equities, International Equities, Unit Trusts, and Foreign Exchange.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of various financial processes, including settlement issues, transaction reporting, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to liaise effectively with different departments and market participants.
Responsibilities: - Monitor CREST checking/failed reports, identify, investigate, and resolve settlement issues, and liaise with relevant market makers as necessary.
- Administer and verify redemptions and subscriptions of directly held Unit Trusts, Cofunds net settlement and Fund Settle orders.
- Conduct Transaction Reporting (MIFID II) duties, including re-reporting exercises and investigation of rejections.
- Perform general trade amendments and monitoring of the group mailbox.
- Analyse, resolve, and implement solutions for errors, and liaise with the relevant departments.
- Coordinate and process placings and hedge fund orders, including managing upfront payments.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks, including monitoring of the E-Log.
- Adhere to CASS rules to support compliance and audit processes.

To excel in this role:
- Demonstrate proficiency in trade cycle management, coupled with exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills. Including using the Microsoft Office software suite.
- Familiarity with systems including Figaro, NEXEN, NEOLINK, CENTRIC, CITI Velocity, OLIS, AEGON, NT Passport, UnaVista.
- Ability to work accurately under time pressure in a high-volume environment with tight daily deadlines, demonstrating strong time management and organisational skills.
- Capability to formulate detailed written responses to emails from investment managers and market participants.
