  • The Share Plan Manager is responsible for delivery of all aspects of Burberry’s global share plans including executive plans, all employee plans, share save, and colleague communications. In addition, the role works with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support with the resolution of participant queries and to optimise ways of working.
  • To deliver accurate and timely share plan administration across a global remit, providing technical subject matter expertise to support colleagues across the business, advice on best practice regarding the delivery of share plans both in the UK and overseas, and creation and maintenance of robust and sustainable share plan administration systems / processes / controls.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure effective and compliant management of all Burberry share plans in the UK and overseas
  • Managing delivery of annual events such as invitations, awards, vestings, and maturities
  • Own all supporting activities required to successfully operate share plans including audit activities, regular and ad hoc reporting, payroll support, management of internal stakeholders (including Reward COE, Company Secretariat, Finance, etc)
  • Manage the relationship with the company’s external share plans administrator (and legacy administrators as appropriate) and work to continually improve the how we administrate our global share plans
  • Ensure all relevant documentation and communications are defined and issued in a timely manner, and that share plan communications are clear, accurate, informative, and engaging
  • Lead process excellence initiatives relating to share plans within Burberry
  • Point of escalation for complex queries regarding Executive share plans
  • Line management of Share Plan Advisor
Leadership
  • Acts as an internal SME for share plans within Burberry
  • Sets clear deliverables for Share Plan Advisor and ensures that daily/weekly/monthly activities are completed accurately and on time
  • Assists in training others and developing share plans knowledge within supporting teams across HR Operations
  • Manages the relationship with third party vendors holding regular service management meetings to ensure that they meet agreed performance KPIs
  • Develop effective working relationships which enable collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Role model Burberry values in particularly demonstrating commitment and passion for continuous improvement
Continuous improvement
  • Utilises colleague feedback, data insights, and industry best practices to identify and implement opportunities to improve the way we operate share plans paying particular attention to compliance, pay accuracy, and employee experience
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to complete root cause analysis of service failures to identify opportunities to mitigate future risk
  • Adopts a pragmatic approach focussed on identifying practical solutions to business opportunities
Qualifications, Skills, Experience Required
  • Previous experience managing share plans (ideally in a global organisation)
  • Ability to work at pace and prioritise workload to changing business needs
  • Intermediate user of Excel with practical experience of handling large datasets and use of pivot tables, vlookups, formulae, etc
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders at different levels of the organisation
  • Proven track record in driving high performance and commercial value from third party vendors
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to use logic and data to influence decision making
