Sheet Metal Fabricator/Welder

Temp to Perm, £16p/hr, Days, Mon to Fri

I am looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator/Welder to work for one of my clients, an Engineering firm based in Leeds. This role is on the Day shift and is a Temp to Perm position.

To be successful you must come from a Sheet Metal Fabrication background and must be able to MIG and TIG Weld to a high standard. Other key skills you will need include:

-Read, understand and work from technical drawings

-Good knowledge of Light Gauge Sheet Metal

-Experience of Welding with Stainless Steel, Mild Steel and Aluminium

-Previously used Machinery including Press Brakes, Guillotines and Rollers

-Possess good Finishing skills

-Safety, Environmental and Quality awareness

Day to day tasks will include:

-Assembling and Fabricating/Welding a wide variety of different products

-General Light Gauge Sheet Metal Fabrication

-Ensure productivity is maintained and all targets met

-Use Hand Tools and Mechanical equipment where necessary

-Ensure units are adequately prepared ready for painting

-Keeping the workshop clean and tidy at all times

You will be required to work 7.30am to 4.30pm from Monday to Thursday with a 1.30pm finish on a Friday. The Pay Rate for the role is £16p/hr and the role is advertised as Temp to Perm.
