SHEQ Advisor

Role: SHEQ Advisor

Location: West Bromwich

Duration: circa 6 months FTC

Salary: c£40,000 - £45,000 pro rata (negotiable)

Duties:

* Ensuring that all applicable SHEQ legal requirements are met as a minimum
* Supporting all Managers and Directors to ensure they meet their own duties of care
* Acting as point of contact of all external parties associated with SHEQ (HSE, Certification Bodies, Fire Service, and Environment Agency etc.)
* Developing and maintain safe systems of work
* Acting as management representative for Company Standards
* Developing, maintaining and improving management system procedures and records
* Updating SharePoint with SHEQ information
* Ensuring that employees are involved with health and safety
* Ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
* Providing advice and support to all business activities in relation to SHEQ
* Undertaking Risk Assessments including reviewing current risk assessments
* Carrying out and reviewing COSHH Assessments
* Completing Accident and Incident Investigations, with a focus on root cause analysis
* Championing the company safety conversation programme
* Advising on method statements and other safe system of work
* Tracking SHEQ performance metrics and reporting them out as necessary
* Preparing and undertaking Management Reviews for 9001
* Chairing the SHEQ Committee Meeting
* Carrying out internal audits and inspections on SHEQ in the factory and at sites
* Completing Prequalification Questionnaires
* Maintaining all management system documentation and our electronic document store
* Training in-house on various SHEQ matters
* Maintaining the training matrix for the company and sourcing training as and when required
* Undertaking permit to work, controlling contractors and completing inductions and briefings
* Consulting with the workforce and various SHEQ issues
*Handling PPE selections and overseeing the current PPE arrangements on site
