Shift Maintenance Engineer £45,000 - £50,000

We are looking to recruit a maintenance engineer who will provide a service within various industries including, nuclear, defence, power generation offshore oil and gas and aerospace. You will be part of a team that will be involved in the next generation of UK defence programmes. You will complete reactive repairs and undertake RCA investigations as well as implementing or advising on corrective action.

Hours of work

Monday to Friday

Days 06:00 - 14:00

Afters 14:00 - 22:00

Nights 22:00 - 06:00

40 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with production shift manager and agree priorities and targets and confirm engineering staff deployment
  • Talk priorities through with engineers and deploy shift resource to meet targets
  • Meet with senior engineer and engineering manager to share information and confirm priorities and actions
  • Liaise with the reliability engineer and implement and conduct planned maintenance tasks
  • Provide a communication link during the shift to enable best response to problems
  • Provide decisions and advice when required on-shift regarding the best course of action to take.
  • Ensure spidex and other records of work done in shift are kept updated
  • Ensure PPM are carried out on key equipment
  • Always ensure that safe and planned systems or work are used and promote Health and Saefty
