Shift Manager

Location: Darlington
Salary: £45,000.00 + bonus

Monday to Friday 14.00 - 22.00

Summary:
This expanding retail 3PL is looking to recruit an experienced warehouse shift manager to support the Operations Manager within this busy distribution centre. You will need to have proven people management skills and a strong commercial focus, able to deliver continuous improvement in operational efficiency within this fast-paced ever changing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Motivate, coach and develop a team of warehouse team leaders and their colleagues
• Conduct regular reviews and training
• Manage budgeted costs and contribute towards business strategy
• Drive best Health and Safety practice across the site
• Drive and lead projects where required including continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
• Work closely with the transport team to optimise activity within the DC

Experience:

• Previous senior management experience gained from within a distribution centre environment
• Sound knowledge of warehouse management systems
• Able to drive continuous improvement and have strong project management ability.
• Excellent analytical and IT skills
• Thorough understanding of cost management, budgets and reports
