Shipping Document Controller

Shipping Document Controller (9-12 months fixed term contract) 

Monday to Friday 

37.5 hours per week (flexible start time available) 

£27,000 - £30,000 per annum

Our client, an established company working within the medical industry based in Dartford, are looking to recruit a Shipping Document Controller to join their team on a fixed term contract basis. This role would suit a meticulous, well organised individual who has experience working within the logistics sector on a global platform.

The role:

• Keeping up to date on the previous days dispatches 
• Working closely with our third party logistics company on any issues or delays 
• Collaborating all the relevant documentation prior to exportation 
• Update shipping documents on Excel 
• Providing any outstanding documents relating to Airway Bills, Bill of Ladings and Legalised documents
• Monitor daily tracking for all live consignments 
• Dealing with customers and agents in a timely manner
• Assist with Export Compliance for countries in the Middle East and Africa
• Liaise with forwarders to ensure Air waybill or Bill of Lading are received on time

The right candidate will have/be:

• Previous experience working within a global logistics organisation
• The ability to work in a fast moving workplace 
• Able to adapt and problem solve in a timely manner
• Good Excel knowledge 
• A big emphasis on customer care and going above and beyond to resolve any issues that may arise 
• A team player and the ability multitask when necessary
