Our client, a family run manufacturing business seek to appoint a Shop Floor Manager to oversee their manufacturing facility. Experience in the automotive industry is advantageous. The successful applicant must come from a ‘hands on’ background ideally with vehicle ‘bodybuilding’. Cars, bikes, motorhomes, trailers, commercial vehicles would all suffice.

The successful Shop Floor Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production activities and finding ways to optimise workflow. This is an ideal opportunity for somebody who wants to be hands on and be a presence on the shop floor whilst been autonomous in their role.
 
Shop Floor Manager - Role and Responsibilities
 * Day-to-day management of a team of 30 including supervisors and skilled operatives
 * Co-ordinate internal and external training and Health and Safety
 * Deliver against KPIs for volume and quality of manufactured product
 * Continuously improve processes and procedures. Formal CI/Lean training preferred
 
Shop Floor Manager - Skills and Abilities
 * Minimum five years production experience in a managerial/supervisory capacity
 * Good communication skills and man management ability
 * Results orientated and KPI led. Understand key business requirements and deliver
 * React well to changing circumstances. Ability to solve problems as they arise
 * Experience in the automotive industry.
