Working for industry leaders in sign manufacturing, our client manufacture everything in-house using state of the art sign manufacturing equipment, providing high quality bespoke signage.

Role Overview

Working as part of the fabrication team, you will be producing formed built up letters, logos and shapes based on technical drawings provided. The letter maker position will involve cutting, folding and bending sheet metal in accordance with design instructions and will also include tasks such as soldering, letter cleaning & washing, reading & taking measurements and manoeuvring material around the factory.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Essential Duties

• Comfortable in receiving instructions from department supervisor.
• Willing and able to work on your own initiative or as part of a team.
• Operating a variety of handheld tools and battery power tools.
• Ensure that all items produced are consistent with company goals for quality and customer time frames.
• Monitor quality standards and processes are always met & used.
• Ensure Health & Safety guidelines are met to assure a safe working environment.
• Assisting in maintaining all machines and equipment within the department.
• Lifting and moving large items - so good mobility and space awareness is required.
• General housekeeping within the department.

Requirements

• Experience in letter making within the signage industry is a must
• Good technical & mathematical skills
• Able to read and understand technical drawings
• Require a good understanding of health & safety practices and be comfortable using soldering equipment, hand power tools, hand rollers & guillotines
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to carry / lift sheet metal
• Additional skills such as TIG welding and experience using CNC guillotine machinery will be of benefit.
