Our national manufacturing and distributing client based in Sharpness, Berkeley is seeking a Site Administrator to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the National Transport Manager and the site Manager, so must have a can-do attitude and be a strong communicator at all levels.

To access the company site, you will need to have access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities:

- Organise orders in the most cost effective and efficient manner

- Ensuring deliveries are made in accordance with the customers and business’s requirements

- Ensure that daily despatch targets are achieved

- Maintain regular communication with transporters to resolve any issues

- Regularly monitor transportation costs and making comparisons of rates

- Maintaining the transport database, keeping it accurate and up to date

- Keeping on top of deliveries to check that the customer has received within the agreed time period

- Updating and maintaining non delivery reasons

- Assisting with the despatch desk

- Checking of legal compliance with required legislation

- Liaising with customers and hauliers via telephone in a polite and courteous manner

- Operating the weighbridge and recording necessary information

Candidate Attributes:

- Excellent organisational skills

- IT literate, ability to pick up new systems quickly

- Accurate data entry

Hours: Monday - Friday - 7am - 4pm with 1 hour break

Salary: Competitive + 25 days holiday per annum plus bank holidays + Life Assurance + Lifestyle Benefits and Discounts
