Site Engineer

Based in Droitwich

10 months contract 

£350 – £400 per day

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Site Engineer to work on a 10 month contract. The client is requiring a Site/Setting Out Engineer on a highways project, the company is a market leader and involved with major projects across the United Kingdom. This will be a great opportunity to gain experience with a Tier 1 contractor and develop yourself further.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure all permits ready for site work to commence
  • Ensure the Inspection and Test Plans, and Quality Check Sheets are completed as soon as the checks can be completed
  • Setting out and surveying
  • Managing subcontractors
  • Manage distribution of information
  • Write and Approve method statements and risk assessments and ensure they are being followed throughout the works
  • Liaising with the client and other key stakeholders
  • Checking design drawings and reporting any issues or inconsistencies
  • Liaise with other Sections to ensure a smooth flow of work.
  • Regularly review procedures to ensure they are as efficient as possible.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Worked on heavy civil projects
  • Highway experience beneficial
  • Cat & Genny training
  • Previous Tier 1 contractor experience
  • CSCS Card
  • Confident at setting out on site and producing QA reports, completing engineering documentation
  • Hold a degree in Civil Engineering or equal experience
