SITE ENGINEER

Location: South East London

Duration: 3 Months with a possible extension

Pay: £350-375 per day Umbrella (Inside IR35 No CIS)

Start: Immediately

This is a great opportunity for a Site Engineer with a good set of setting out skills to come onboard and get stuck into a highways project.

SITE ENGINEER DUTIES

  • Setting out, levelling and surveying the site
  • Carry out site surveys, levelling and setting out
  • Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
  • Ensuring that all materials used, and work performed are as per specifications
  • Maintain Survey Instruments and keep records, maintain Site Diary
  • Implement the Project Management Plan, engineering procedures and practices
  • Ensure that appropriate quality records are being produced
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, other relevant statutory provisions, instructions and arrangements as they appear in the Health and Safety Operating Procedures
  • Set an example through high personal standards in the application of health and safety
  • Understand and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Compilation of QA sheets for sub and super structural elements
  • Advise on buildability issues as required
  • Assist to prepare scope of works and reports as required

SITE ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience working on highways project
  • Previously worked as Site Engineer/Setting Out Engineer or in a similar position
  • Experienced and competent with the setting out equipment
  • Have a CSCS, and a SSSTS or SMSTS
  • Capable of setting out to exact drawing specifications
  • Degree educated in a civil engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
