The Burford Recruitment Company are delighted to be working on behalf of a well-respected Cotswold based construction company, who have an excellent reputation locally as a specialist in period property development and refurbishment.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a highly skilled Site Foreperson to oversee and run all projects smoothly and effectively. You will be provided with a company van and will travel between sites, usually within 30-mile radius of Burford.

The business is committed to the use of traditional skills and methods of building and are looking for an individual who shares this passion and can demonstrate expertise in property development. Working closely with the Managing Director and office team, you will be responsible for the following responsibilities.


Key responsibilities

  • To ensure projects are progressing smoothly and be able to organise more than one project at a time.
  • Ensure that labour and materials are on site when needed to keep works moving efficiently.
  • Being aware of cost control and efficiencies
  • Encourage good team spirit on site and be observant of strengths and weaknesses of the team, including sub-contractors.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping on site and sure security and safety is in order.
  • Provide information to the office about costs, labour and materials incurred.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, sub-contractors, tradesmen, architects, engineers, and office staff.

Experience

  • You will have demonstrable experience working as a Site Foreperson and have suitable industry qualifications.
  • A sound knowledge of the construction process (all trades) including traditional building methods.
  • Be an excellent communicator and able to motivate a team.
  • Be able to work to a budget and timeline efficiently.
  • Live within a commutable distance to Burford and happy to travel to multiple site locations.
