Site Manager - Construction

* Northeast
* Full Time | Monday to Friday
* Contract - 57 weeks
* Rate Negotiable depending on experience

I am really excited to be supporting a regional contractor in securing the operational team for a new construction project in the northeast.

They are looking for an experienced Principal Contracting Site Manager to support the Project Manager on a £10million project with a 57 week programme. Scope of works involves multiple buildings, external works, groundworks.

The Role
* You will join the team prior to the start on site, becoming familiar with the project, scope of works and programme.
* You will support the Project Manager by leading the team and sub contractors out on site
* You will carry out quality checks, ensuring works are completed to a good standard
* You will oversee health & safety on site, conduct inductions, issue permits and tool box talks
* You will support the Project Manager with technical queries or challenges that arise.

Requirements;
To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following;
* Extensive experience as No 2 on construction projects for the Principal Contractor
* Proven ability to successfully deliver projects up to £10million in value on time and in budget
* Excellent leadership qualities, the ability to motivate your internal and external team on site.
You must also have the following;
* SMSTS
* First Aid
* CSCS
* Temporary Works
* Scaffold Inspection
* HNC / Degree in Construction Management or related discipline or be form a Trades background.

This is a freelance position working via Search Consultancy for a 57 week duration.
The rate is negotiable depending on experience.
