We are working with a reputable client based in Bedford (MK42) who require a professional Site Manager. The position is a permanent role paying up to £55k per annum + Benefits.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 7.00am - 3.30pm

In this role you will be responsible for the day to day running of the project, consisting of remediation works and other groundworks. You will be responsible for the site’s health & safety, productivity, quality, and commercial output.

Role Overview

  • Reporting to and working with the sites Project Manager.
  • Managing Health and Safety on site.
  • Supervise all works undertaken.
  • Managing all sub-contractors on site.
  • Organisation of all labour and materials.
  • Lead progress meetings.
  • Assist Quality Manager with all QA sign offs.
  • Deal with any technical issues that arise.
  • Ensure all on site adhere to safe working practices and company procedures/industry standards.
  • Attend daily meetings with management and other trades.
  • Conduct toolbox talks.
  • Arrange on site inductions.
  • Manage the productivity and push the project towards completion.
  • Oversee schedule of works.
  • Liaise with client, subcontractors and partners by having daily morning briefings in addition to regular site meetings.
  • Compose Install, repair and maintenance programmes.
  • Assist and enable surveys.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

SMSTS (Site Managers Safety Training Scheme)

Mechanical & electrical background (M&E)

Black CSCS Card- Management & Professionals

Full 3-day first aid

Desirable but not essential:

City & Guilds confined space entrant & topman (Medium Risk)(6160-09)

CPCS appointed person (A61)

EUSR - Water hygiene
